If you bought your Codebox lockboxes directly from Codebox, they are registered under your own Codebox account. Before you can use them with LetHub, Codebox has to transfer them into ours. If you try to add a box that has not been transferred yet, LetHub returns an error when you save it.
Submit the transfer request
Open the Codebox transfer request form, or click Transfer Request from your Codebox dashboard.
Enter your own name as the requester.
Set the new service provider to LetHub. This is the field that matters most.
For client service provider, enter your current provider on Codebox.
Add the serial numbers of every box you want to move. You can list them all on one request.
Submit the form.
What happens next
Codebox usually processes the transfer in about 2 to 3 days, and sends you an email once it is done. You can also check at any time by trying to add one of the boxes in LetHub. If it saves without an error, the transfer went through.
Add the boxes in LetHub
Go to the Lockboxes tab.
Click Add Lockbox.
Enter the 8-digit reference code printed on the top of the box and save.
Assign the box to the correct property and unit.
Place the box on the unit with the key inside, then turn on self-showing for that unit.
From there, LetHub generates the access codes for each showing automatically.
What changes after the transfer
The boxes sit in LetHub's Codebox account, so they no longer appear in yours.
You stop paying the active lockbox fee directly to Codebox for those boxes.
Access codes are generated in LetHub.
You only need to keep your own Codebox subscription if you want to move the boxes back later.
If a box still returns an error a few days after you submit the form, message us with the serial number and we will confirm whether it has landed in our account yet.
